I am Curator of Video and Film at e-flux in New York and editor of e-flux Film Notes, a weekly publication on contemporary art and cinema. My work at e-flux brings together programming for the Screening Room and online film platform with lectures and conversations involving artists, filmmakers, and scholars.

Recent curatorial projects include the 13th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, Séance: Technology of the Spirit (2025), which I led as Artistic Director with Anton Vidokle and Hallie Ayres, and the 14th Shanghai Biennale, Cosmos Cinema (2023–24), which I co-curated. Other exhibitions and film programs have involved collaborations with the Museum of Modern Art, Anthology Film Archives, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, the National Gallery of Art in Vilnius, the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, and Tramway in Glasgow.

Alongside curating and editing, I have taught courses on cinema and moving-image art at New York University, Columbia University, and Brooklyn College, CUNY. I received my PhD in Cinema Studies from NYU in 2022.

My writing appears in academic books, exhibition catalogs, and publications including Frieze, Art Agenda, Senses of Cinema, and e-flux Journal. As co-editor, I worked on Cinema and the Environment in Eastern Europe: From Communism to Capitalism (Berghahn Books, 2023) and Jonas Mekas: Camera Was Always Running (Yale University Press, 2022). My forthcoming edited volume, After the Kino-Eye: An e-flux Film Reader, will be published by Sternberg Press in 2027.

Lukas Brasiskis is Curator of Video and Film at e-flux, New York, where he programs e-flux Screening Room and the e-flux Film online platform and edits e-flux Film Notes.
